Work at One of Our Camps
Are you looking for a summer job that will make a difference?
Every summer, 3,000 New York City children from low-income communities attend six Fresh Air camps on close to 2,000 acres in Upstate New York. With the help of over 400 staff members from around the world, they enjoy outdoor activities, make new friends, learn to swim, and unlock their limitless potential. For many of our campers, attending one of our camps is their first experience outside the city, and our goal is to provide a safe, fun and nurturing experience for every child.
The Fresh Air Fund staff are a group of diverse, motivated and dedicated individuals who share a passion for working with inner-city children. Our staff come from different states, countries, colleges and backgrounds to have a fun, challenging summer and give our campers the experience of a lifetime.
We are looking for leaders who are excited to work with children and bring a unique skill set to our camps. Fresh Air Fund staff are current and future educators, advocates and mentors, and will have a wide range of responsibilities while working at camp. Camp staff develop skills such as teamwork, resiliency, patience, independence and confidence, which can be applied to any future career path.
